March 2016 Beauty Favorites

Happy Saturday, y'all! Can you believe it's already April?! I sure can't! This year is already            going by so fast! With that being said, today I have a March beauty favorites for y'all!
These are the most used products I've used in the last month and even for part of February          too!

Face

So these are the items I've been using these couple of months, not just in March, but they are wonderful items! The water primer from smashbox really hydrates my skin and makes my foundation look flawless! The Kate Somerville moisturizer leaves my skin feeling less dry and feeling more vibrant looking and hydrated! The NYX wonder stick is a great duo for highlighting and contouring, not much to say really, but that it is awesome!! The Becca highlight is the perfect highlight for my skin tone and I used to use the one from the Naked Flushed palette and felt that the highlight in that palette was too yellowish on me and this Becca highlight gives it that subtle shimmer that I love and can easily build up if I want! And lastly, I've had this Milani blush for a while now and I always seem to go back to it closer to the Spring time and this blush gives me the slightest touch of color to my cheeks without overdoing it and I love that about this blush!

Eyes

I've been going back and forth with these two eyeshadow palettes, both are neutral, but each has a specific shade of neutral that I'm wanting for that particular day. These two mascaras are also two that I have been going back and forth on and these two mascaras lengthen my lashes without making them clumpy and I love when mascaras do that because clumpy lashes are not my thing haha. And this new eyeliner that I got while in Mexico over Spring Break has been my go-to liner and it's from the Renova brand and it is the right amount of blackness and it doesn't get smeared easily and is easily removable and thats always a plus in my book!

Brows

For brows, I've changed it up a bit because sometimes I would use the Maybelline brow mascara in deep brown for when I was in a hurry in the mornings to get to class and the clear brow mascara to just tame them for when I didn't want to put anything on my brows (color wise). I recently wanted to try out a drug store brow product and the Maybelline brow define duo is an awesome dupe for the Anastasia brow wiz and I also use the brow wiz for time to time, I haven't gotten old of it yet! (I'm thinking of purchasing the dip brow next!).

Lips

As you can see nudes/peachy nudes have been my go-to these past months! I just love a nude lip with a simple makeup look and it honestly can go with almost everything and I love it! These are my favorites so far this year not just this month! :)

Fragrance

For fragrances, I have been using these two. Fantasy was a gift from a friend of the family from when I had my sweet 15 and since then I hadn't recently used it until this past month and actually love the smell it's not too sweet, but not too bitter either! Secret Charm is a new fragrance I recently purchased this past month and I've been using it daily! It has a sweet but also clean smell it's not overpowering, very subtle!

So these were all my favorites! I hope y'all enjoyed this post and hope y'all have a wonderful Saturday! :)

What's your favorite item so far?

Too Faced Love Flush Blush Palette Review + Swatches

Hey y'all! Happy Wednesday!

It again has been a good bit since I last blogged, but college does that to you, definitely keeps you busy! Seeing as today I have some time to spare I decided to do a review post on this new blush palette I recently purchased!

Now I am not sure if this is limited edition (I hope not so y'all can purchase it too!) but with the words Love Flush and it coming out (I believe) during the Valentine's time I would think it is, but again, I am not too sure!

Now I had heard and seen Too Faced blushes around Ulta & Sephora but never really caught my eye and I wanted to test smaller portions just in case I didn't like it and when I saw this palette right as I was about to leave Ulta I knew I had to have it!

First Impression
My first impression was "oh my gosh what a cute package!" seriously, exact words! It was so bright and cute with all the hearts and gold lettering and little birds on the packaging! Now when I opened it for the first time I liked how the front looked exactly like the packaging and that the back had the names of the blushes and the gold lettering yet again caught me as well! (love gold lettering) It is a magnetic palette meaning magnets close the palette, now normally I like sturdiness when it comes to palettes but I figured well it would be hassle so that didn't really phase me! I loved how they put the blushes in heart shapes and gave the color behind them and the name of the blushes in a readable bold black color and standard font (blind as a bat here!)

This palette has 6 blushes and I think these are perfect for bringing in the Spring and Summer time! They're subtle and not too harsh at all and they do blend pretty well and is buildable to your preference!

Swatches
Love Hangover is such a pretty light pink blush! Definitely a nice color to wear with your Easter dress or when you don't want to wear a blush that can be a bit harsh looking! Definitely gives you a flush of color!

Baby Love to me is more of a pink with brown tones to it. It is a gorgeous color and definitely a color I would use during the Summer for that almost bronze goddess look!

I Will Always Love You is a light coral color that I think is both gorgeous and perfect for the Summer time! It could even possibly be a highlight too if you'd like!

How Deep Is Your Love? (yes, I did sing the song by Calvin Harris & Disciples when I saw the name!) This is the darkest pink that is in this palette and it's just so pretty! It will definitely make your cheeks pop!

Justify My Love is the lightest purple/lilac shade in this palette and I love it! It's not too harsh and it is still noticeable! Never owned a shade like this but I can't wait to try it out! This is such a pretty color that would be great for Spring!

Your Love Is King is a cranberry color blush and to be honest I was thinking it'd be darker from how it looks I thought it was going to be more of a dark plum, but the color is still very pretty and it's more of a Summer transitioning into Fall color and I love it!

All in all these colors are really nice, feel velvety, apply well, and are blendable! It gives you a little bit of everything, shade wise, and the size of these blushes is pretty decent, it should last you a good 2 months or even more than that! I'm not at all disappointed in these shades, they're all gorgeous and I think will suit every skin color!

Price wise this palette is $36.00 and honestly I think it's a pretty reasonable price giving the fact that it's six shades, decent size and gives you a bit of everything so do I think it's worth that much? Personally, yes, but everyone has their opinions! :)

Now right now it is sold out, but if it comes back in stock soon I would definitely recommend picking one up!

I give this palette a 4/5! Of course there are some cons for me personally, but in all this is a very nice palette, for sure!

I hope y'all enjoyed this review and hope y'all are having a wonderful Wednesday!

Are there any products you are wanting to try out?

Valentine's Day Makeup Look 2016!

Hey y'all! Long time no talk! Life happens so things have been a bit crazy lately, but I'm slowly going to be posting more this time around, for sure!

For today's post I'm going to go through the makeup look I did for Valentine's Day! Before I start this post, I hope y'all had a wonderful Valentine's and spent it with your loved ones (friends, family, pets, etc) and to remember that you don't need a specific day to show someone you care about them. :) okay, now let's get to the makeup look!

I want to take a minute to brag about this wonderful product I've been trying out recently! This little blue container literally has done wonders for my skin! I have dry skin and it gets very bad in the winter time! I used to use Clinique's moisturizer and I noticed that instead of making my skin feel better and less dry in this time of weather, it was doing the opposite!
Long story short, thank goodness for Sephora and Kate Somerville! This is the Kate Somerville Nourish Daily Moisturizer and it's for both dry and sensitive skin and I have definitely seen a huge difference in my skin and can see this being a winter essential (possibly a must have essential year round!

First thing's first, prime the face! I've recently been using this smashbox primer water and I have been loving it!! It's refreshing and hydrates my skin!

Prime the eyes! Here's an oldie, but a goodie! I use the urban decay eyeshadow primer in Original and this is pretty much my holy grail when it comes to eye primers! haha

I have rediscovered my love for the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette! It's perfect for valentine's day or a spring/summer day! Love the pink tones in this palette!

I used Limit as my eyeshadow base to make the colors pop a bit more! The brush I used is the shadow brush that came with the Urban Decay Naked palette!

For the crease color, I chose Nooner and this is a mauve-y pink and it's such a beautiful color, I love it! The brush I used was an angled blending brush by It Cosmetics!

Then for the eyelid I used the shadow Buzz and it is a very pigmented shimmery pink and I think it gave the look a bit of a pink glam feel to it and I loved it! The brush I used was a small shadow brush from It Cosmetics!

Then I mixed Limit, Nooner and Buzz for my lower lash shadow and I loved how it turned out, as well, very subtle! I used the angled blending brush from It Cosmeitcs!

For my inner corner, I used Dust and it's a paler shimmery pink that I think is a good inner corner color to make the eyes pop! I used the small shadow brush again from It Cosmetics!

Then for my brow highlight, I used Strange! It wasn't too of a white base so it didn't wash me out which is always a good thing! Again used the same shadow brush!

To line my eyes, I used Blackheart! I love that this one is dark, but has specks of pink/red in it! It's such a pretty color! The brush I used was the Clinique eye definer brush!

Then to tighten my waterline, I used the NYC Kohl Liner Pencil in Blackest Black!

For a more precise application, I used the Absolute New York Nano Liner in Black and to make it a bit more dark, I used the Maybelline Line Stiletto liquid liner!

For the brows, I used the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Medium Brown! I'm slowly but surely getting closer to purchasing the dip brow version of this!

For my foundation I'm having to mix two foundations together to get my exact shade because one is too light and the other is too dark! One is the Clinique stay matte foundation in Deep Brown and the other is the Kat Von D Lock It Tattoo Foundation in Medium 64! The sponge I used is a blending sponge from Real Techniques!

To set everything I used the Elf high definition powder and I used this blending sponge to apply it and I let it sit for a couple seconds and then I use my Real Techniques powder brush to blend it all in!

To contour and highlight my face, I used the NYX wonder stick in Deep and this is amazing I love this so much! Hopefully I can stock up soon because every time I go to see if they have it, they're all gone haha! The precision sponge is from Real Techniques!

To bronze my face, I used the Kat Von D shade + light palette!

I used the middle shade that's called Shadowplay and use the Borshe contour brush to apply it!

The blush I used was Stubborn by Mac, a new favoritem, and I used the Clinique blush brush!

For my highlight, I used my new favorite highlight right now and it's the Shimmering Skin Perfecter in Opal by Becca Cosmetics and it's just such a lovely highlight shade, very flattering! The brush I used was the fan brush by It Cosmetics!

I decided to put on lashes and my favorite ones are the Glamour lashes by Ardell in 102 Demi in Black and I used the Kardashian Beauty Lengthening mascara to combine it all!

For the lips, I wanted something neutral, but still flattering and not over the top so I went with Del Rio by Mac and I really loved how it turned out!

Lastly, to set it all, I used the Urban Decay De-Slick makeup setting spray! (Excuse the foundation stains on it haha)

The final look:
I really love how it all turned out! Here's my video of this look if you want to check it out!

Hope y'all enjoyed this post and I hope y'all had a wonderful day despite the crazy weather! :)

Goals For 2016!

Happy Monday and Happy (late) New Year!!

I hope the new year has been treating y'all well so far! It has been a good bit since I last blogged, but that is definitely going to change! It's So crazy how fast 2015 went by! 2015 was full of good and bad times, but good more than anything and I can't wait to see how 2016 will treat me! On the blog today seeing as it is the new year, I want to talk about my goals for this new year!

Now I will be honest, I'm the kind of person that sets goals, but never keeps up with them or forgets about them, sometimes life is crazy and throughs for a loop, but this year I am going to dedicate this year to fulfilling my goals and enjoy this year to the fullest!

Exercise more - I have always said that I will exercise more, it never fails, I say I will, but never pull through with it, but this year I will motivate myself and dedicate myself to exercising more and with my most recent purchase (will post a blog about it very soon!) I'm sure it will help me stay on track!

Eat healthier - This goes hand in hand with exercising more, I say I will, but never do. I have learned in 2015 that I eat soooo bad, I don't eat as much fruits and veggies as I should, it's always take-out or super processed foods and I am tired of it, I want to better my eating habits and this year I will better my habits!

Grow/Better my YouTube channel and blog - This year was not my best in uploading videos or blog posts, so this year I will schedule my time well and make (and stick to it!) a schedule for both my channel and blog and I have a vlog channel now so hopefully all goes well!

Spend money wisely - If you know me in real life, you would know that I am a shopaholic, it's pretty bad, so my goal for this year is to spend my money wisely and know when I need something and when I absolutely do not need it!

Focus on school/Stop procrastinating - I have made this a goal every single year and again, never pulls through, but I almost graduating from my community college and I want to go out with a bang so I am going to focus on my school work when I need to and not procrastinate because let's be real I am the queen of procrastination! Can't lower than GPA now!

Grow in my faith - I have decided to get back on track with my faith because I can honestly say that I have wavered away from that path a good bit, so I want to grow my faith with God and with the help of my church and friends, this will be a fun journey!

Focus on me and my happiness - I want to spend this year and the many more to come on focusing on me and my health and my happiness.. I want to learn more about myself and what I truly want and what truly makes me happy! Being happy with yourself will be the stepping stone to a good life, I think and I want to be happy and well with myself physically, mentally and emotionally.

So these were all my goals for the new year and I hope everyone has a wonderful year and have a wonderful Monday! :)

What are your goals for 2016?

Trip To The Pumpkin Patch!

Happy Tuesday, y'all! I hope y'all are having a great day!

Today I'm sharing with y'all my first trip ever to my local pumpkin patch!
About a week ago, me and my friend grabbed some coffee and headed to the pumpkin patch that was surprisingly close to my house! The patch wasn't as full as I thought it would be, but it was totally fine! It was nice to see the different kinds of pumpkins and each friend time and enjoy the wonderful fall weather! We didn't go into the corn maze, but we will next year, for sure! Here are the pictures I took from that day! :)

The pictures look blurry for some reason, I'm sorry, but next time that won't be an issue!
I hope you enjoyed this post and have a wonderful Tuesday!! :)

Did you go to a pumpkin patch this year?
